Not your average Clash concert. Greetings all, kickin' off the day with the horror known as "The Busking Tour." Like it or lump it, the last smoldering ashes of The Clash kept alive by Joe and Paul were down right ballsy. Sans-Jones and quality notwithstanding, '85 saw Joe at one of his most exuberant and these actual overlooked final days of The Clash went out with the same angst they started in '76....The Horror!! The Clash busking in York, 1985 In its official version, the story of The Clash ends with the firing of lead guitarist Mick Jones in 1983. Though founding members Joe Strummer and Paul Simonon subsequently led a five-piece version of the group until the first months of 1986, it is not a polite thing to mention at parties.
