KURT RUSSELL IS A HELL BENT BOUNTY HUNTER IN "THE HATEFUL EIGHT"! - QUENTIN WTF THE HORROR!

This QT fan says the following regarding The Hateful Eight-
the bad - a really sweet act one & two that unfortunately leads to a predictable and way too violent act three (similar to Django.)
- QT used up his allotment of the N-word decades ago and quite frankly I'm sick of hearing it.
- as far as soundtrack, this might be his least effective music management
- Samuel Jackson's performance is dialed in, not his best acting by a mile
the good - all the things we usually expect from QT in photography and production design, the cinematography on some of the outdoor shots is breathtaking.
- there is one really big saving grace about this movie and her name is Jennifer Jason Leigh who is both hysterical and tragic in her role, she brings more than a lot to her character, one of her best.

With The Hateful Eight, Tarantino's Stylistic Compulsions Lead Him Astray

The unpleasant truth exposed by The Hateful Eight is that Quentin Tarantino's wit and craftsmanship - his artistic soul - are inextricable from his sadism. He has gone to elaborate lengths to make the movie look like a classic widescreen Western, in 70mm, with a thunderously lyrical overture by the great Ennio Morricone and an intermission, but there's nothing widescreen about his story.

The Hateful Eight Movie Review (2015) | Roger Ebert

An extraordinary display of directorial craft, but an ugly movie-so ugly that it seems as if the director is daring his harshest detractors to see it as a confirmation of their worst fears about his art.
