BOWIE RELEASES 10 MINUTE TITLE TRACK FROM UPCOMING 'BLACKSTAR' ALBUM - THE HORROR!!

The Sheer Horror!!
Greetings all, as you know this ain't no editorial type blog
so I'll cut to the chase- Bowie's new song and video
is some bugged-out sh*t, ya dig? The slow sprawling tune
is steeped in demonic themes and overtone. Originally
over 11 mins, Bowie & Visconti had to trim one off
to meet the I-tunes 10 minute max on singles.
I'll say this much- it certainly is a step forward in
the right direction after The Next Day which I
found to be uninteresting and too safe. Remember,
this is the guy that gave us Ziggy, Diamond Dogs,
and countless other brilliant personifications.
While the new song is deep and dark and I'll
have to give it at least another couple spins
to decide, one thing for sure, this is much more
like the Bowie we know and love- demons
or not......The Horror!!

The Inside Story of David Bowie's Stunning New Album, 'Blackstar'

One Sunday night in the spring of 2014, David Bowie walked into 55 Bar, a 96-year-old jazz joint tucked away on a quiet side street in New York's West Village. A friend, jazz bandleader Maria Schneider, had suggested he check out the night's headliner, a quartet led by saxophonist Donny McCaslin.
