You Had It Coming is the 2nd of three albums in a row showcasing the electronic beats and patterns kind of period he went through, although the 3rd, "Jeff" already starts to break away from that and is more broad and diverse in instrumentation than the first two. All three in imho are great albums and this is a short album running only 35 minutes with 10 tracks but oh so sweet...and a little naughty too, I think that describes our man of the day....The Horror!!

Sure, they've got lightning moves and thundering power, but guitar gods live by the same laws that govern lesser mortals: Only the most adaptable shall prevail. So now that old masters like Clapton and Santana are enjoying pop-propelled career rebirths, it's fair to ask, what about Jeff Beck?

Some people play a guitar. Jeff Beck attacks one. At his best the sounds he coerces from his white Strat are criminally inventive, rude-or in his words-"slippery". Pair this with the production and performance of Andy Wright, who has twiddled the knobs for everyone from Massive Attack to Simply Red, and you have what amounts to Jeff Beck doing the nasty at a rave.
