RACE WITH THE DEVIL
Oh yes, this one's a crown jewel in the 70's drive-in
catagory. Two couples hit the road in what was
then a modern $34,000 motor home and on their
first night camping accidentally witness a pagan
ritual resulting in a girl's murder. The race is
on, this one hits and hits for 90 mins and
doesn't let up, a big fav for sure, and my man
Warren Oates is in top form, highly recommend!
NUMBER 7
SHE-FREAK
You better be kind to the freaks!
This '67 b-flick gives a clear demonstration of what
will happen if you don't. To fill gaps they lay it on
thick with the footage shot at fairs including what
goes into setting up and breaking down. This helps
distract from the terrible acting and other typical
production values and gives the movie a certain
patina. Have always dug this one.
FULL MOVIE - film is in the public domain.
The lead actress was never in anything else and
died early from breast cancer at 43, 10 years
after the film was made. After she passed it
was discovered that she and the actor that
plays Shorty had an affair and a kid together.
