BOINGO-TOBER IN FULL SWING! - THE YEAR IS 1988 - BAND CELEBRATES A DECADE OF HORRIFIC MUSIC!

Ah yes, the ole Boingo Alive album, one I've always
had mixed feelings about. After a year and a half
of steady touring and a decade into their journey
they decide to put out a live album, no problem there
however instead of using live audio from the tours
they go into the studio and replicate a typical set.
I like the idea from a creative standpoint but not
with this band. Live shows were always a celebration
and included dance, slam, stage dives, whatever.
Capturing that dynamic was automatically
lost, nonetheless this double live album
has it's pluses. The song selection is awesome
and hardcore Boingo fans finally got to see
a version of Cinderella Undercover released,
a song from before the first album that was
recorded and then dissed on 3 albums before
this. One of the real treats on here is a song
that only appears on this album called
Winning Side....The Horror!!
Rare 88 footage, Boingo appears on telethon.
Tonight's bootleg offering-
Rivera Theater - Chicago 1988 - set list - broadcast or
perhaps a Dvd feed, not that great A-/B+ 7daylink
The Sheer Horror!!
