THE HORROR KNOWN AS "THE PURSUIT OF D.B. COOPER"! - 1981 HORRIFIC ADVENTURE COMEDY

Very loosely based on the infamous airplane robbery,
this one tanked big at the box office but is not
without it's merits. Instead of retelling the story
of the robbery, this movie starts when he jumps
off the plane and then fictionalizes his escapades
as he gets chased by a wise detective played
by Robert Duvall. Duvall is great as always
and we also have a young hardly recognizable
Paul Gleason. This is what I would call "a good
two-star movie," but since we don't use stars
here, we use Palm Trees, this is a good
Two Palm Trees movie...The Horror!!

The Pursuit of D.B. Cooper (1981)

Directed by Roger Spottiswoode, Buzz Kulik. With Robert Duvall, Treat Williams, Kathryn Harrold, Ed Flanders. A speculation on the fate of the famous hijacker who parachuted with his ransom and disappeared in the mountains, has Cooper following a meticulous plan to disappear into anonymity despite the best efforts of a dogged cop.
