Thanksgiving horror movies are few and far between. Funny thing is, what few top lists there are, this 1981 catastrophe is usually included. It actually has to be as it is really the only slasher to ever be centered around the holiday. Happen to remember "Body By Jake"? Yep, and he has to be very possibly the worst actor to ever come down the pike. Home Sweet Home did not qualify for any Pinewoods and so subsequently has been recognized with a special honor- the Ruined Turkey award....The Horror!!

Next up was Home Sweet Home, also known as Slasher in the House and Bloodparty. Wait, BLOODPARTY?! That's clearly the best name of them all and not referring to this movie officially as Bloodparty...

Eli Roth's contribution to Grindhouse , the faux Thanksgiving trailer, excited everyone for some Turkey Day slashing. After all, nearly ever other holiday has had its...er, day in horror history, so why not Thanksgiving? Unbeknownst to many, that was a question that was answered 2 decades earlier with Home Sweet Home.
