Oh my, the sheer horror of the US Festival '83 performance and all it's accoutrements. The final show with Mick Jones, the Clash went out with a huge bang; about two hours before showtime and after hearing about increased ticket prices and the fact that Van Halen had been paid a lot more than the Clash, the band held a press conference and declared they would not take the stage unless Steve Woziak donated 100K to charity. They then went on 2 hours late and drunk with a sign that said Clash Not For Sale. Joe was in rare form and despite the "don't want to look at the car wreck but can't help to" aspect of their performance, if you really want to understand what Joe and the band were about then this show and Joe's rants will give you the answer, warts and all.....The Horror!!
