One of the last really great Alice albums before Lace

Also very overlooked as it came out just a little
too soon following the epic Welcome To My
Nightmare album and tour. A great concept album

ACTOR'S SHOWCASE! - BRIAN BACKER - YOU MAY KNOW HIM AS 'RAT' FROM FAST TIMES RIDGEMONT

Rolling out a new feature, run it up the flagpole and see how we do. There are many components that go into making a good feature film but it all starts with the right cast and good acting talent. I've always held actor's in the highest regard. Sometimes they're capable of pure magic. This occasional feature will focus on those faces you know you've seen but probably don't know their name, those actors that straddle the line between B-list and A-list, enjoy T
The many faces of Brian Backer.
I must admit that up until recently, the only film I was
familiar with Brian Backer was his charming and lovable
Rat in Fast Times At Ridgemont. I discounted his
acting as just playing himself but this is far from
the truth. He's quite versatile and talented.
He's done a modest 10 features from '81 to now
and dabbled a bit in TV, but his real forte is
in the theater and in 1981 he won a Tony for
best actor in a Broadway play. pretty cool
stuff, we salute you sir- now go put on
side 1 of Led Zeppelin 4....The Horror!!

Additional Notes - 10/29 - Forgot what a great show this is, Ian is in exceptionally happy spirits so his usual in-between song banter is even more comical, version of Thick As A Brick is
off the hook, this one of those you listen to and wish you had been there!

LOOK OUT, IT'S "THE BURNING"! - 1981 SUMMER CAMP THRILLER - A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE GONNA PAY

A prank goes south in a major way when the victim is
horrifically burned. Several years later he returns to
get his revenge...The Horror! First time seeing this
one and totally dug it, using my Palm Springs
Rating System I give the ole Burning
Two & 3/4 Palm Trees. 2 real reviews follow..

The Horror Club: DVD Review: The Burning (1981)

80's Slasher flicks for the first time, but it's a worthy addition to any Slasher collection, all the same. If for no other reason, you must see this movie for the infamous raft scene: originally cut by the , the scene is a blood-filled, graphic, nasty little Tom Savini masterpiece.

The Girl Who Loves Horror

A camp full of horny teenagers being stalked by an unknown murderer. Why does that sound familiar??? Because it's 1981's The Burning , one of the first films done by the original house of Harvey and Bob Weinstein, Miramax Films. FIRE, FIRE, FIRE!

Really cool poster for a sequel that never happened.

THE WHO 1967 & 1968! - 'WHO'S FOR TENNIS?' A LOST ALBUM SHELVED BY THE BAND - THE HORROR!

Who's for Tennis? was a proposed but eventually cancelled 1968 studio album by British rock group The Who.After the release of The Who Sell Out, the band had several ideas for projects to fill the gap before the release of their "rock opera" project (which would later be realized as the 1969 album Tommy), including a live album from the group's 1968 tour, an EP of instrumental compositions, and a studio album. The album was to be made up of tracks from several sources, including some the band's singles that were released in 1967 and 1968, outtakes from The Who Sell Out, and brand new tracks recorded throughout the spring and summer of 1968. Kit Lambert, the group's manager, suggested naming the proposed album Who's For Tennis? and releasing it in July, to coincide with the end of the 1968 Wimbledon Championships. The intended opening track for the album was the song "Glow Girl", recorded in January and February 1968
