Instead of being an awesome debut album with the
new band, this landed up being more of a bridge
between the ashes of Airplane and the next two
Starship albums to follow, Red Octopus and Spitfire,
both winners. Dragon Fly is a sorted array of tunes
that starts with the single, Ride The Tiger, one of
the all-time great Starship tunes. But it's such a
good song that it lands up overshadowing the
rest of the songs and while there's some great
stuff here, the album never seems to recover
the momentum from Tiger, ya dig?
Ride The Tiger charted #96 but the Dragon
Fly album went to #11....The Horror!!
