What ever happened to the old Hackman meister, don't see him around much anymore, fairly entertaining thriller with a good portion of the flick a cat n mouse kind of thing on a train. Anne Archer is great as always and I might add particularly cute in this flick, also good ole JT Walsh is really good as well. You can read a real review below, this ain't no editorial type blog so using my Pinewoods Rating System awards Narrow Margin with Two Pinewoods, a typical two-star kind of movie...The Horror!!
Narrow Margin Movie Review & Film Summary (1990) | Roger Ebert
"Narrow Margin" is a clumsy version of the Idiot Plot, dressed up as a high-gloss chase thriller. The Idiot Plot, of course, is any plot that would be resolved in five minutes if everyone in the story were not an idiot. And rarely has there been a film in which more idiots make more mistakes than in this one.
CommentaramaFilms: Guest Review: Narrow Margin (1990)
by ScottDS Andrew's reviewed a few of them already so now it's my turn to review a Peter Hyams movie. 1990's Narrow Margin is a slightly better-than-average thriller, not really memorable, but quite watchable if it comes on TV. It's also a little too convenient at times and, thanks to technology, it falls into the "Couldn't be made today" category.
THE SHEER HORROR!!
