WATCH OUT NOW AS WE TAKE U ON A "TEXAS DETOUR"! - THE HORROR OF THIS '77 HIXPLOITATION

It's no mystery we have some pretty dang cool movie blogs around here. Two or my favorites, Cool Ass Cinema and Every 70's Movie both played a part (ha ha) in turning me on to this drive-inn goody. Finally got to watch it last night, thumbs up, it's a pretty cool Hixploitation flick w all the b-movie pluses - stunts, girls, fights, revenge, weirdos. You know, all the things that make life worth living. You can read two real reviews below and using our Pinewoods Rating System of course, Texas Detour gets Two & 1/2 Pinewoods, not a bad score....The Horror!!

Cool Ass Cinema: Texas Detour (1978) review

TEXAS DETOUR 1978 aka SPEED CRAZY Patrick Wayne (Clay McCarthy), Mitch Vogel (Dale McCarthy), Lindsay Bloom (Sugar McCarthy), R.G. Armstrong (Sheriff Burt), Priscilla Barnes (Claudia Hunter), Anthony James (Beauregard Hunter), Michael Mullins (Billy), Cameron Mitchell (John Hunter) Directed by Hikmet Avedis ***WARNING!

Every 70s Movie: Texas Detour (1978)

is not without its low pleasures. The contrived story of three Californians who become victims while trapped in a small town, the picture is predicated on stereotypes and stupidity, as per the norm for drive-in schlock.

THE HORROR!!
