The opening sequence shows a horse and buggy
high-tailing it thru the mountains so fast it's
hard to believe they could hit that m.p.g
and so the pace stays with this one all
the way thru. Fonda kills it as the gambling
addicted farmer, I don't know if I've ever
seen such an urgent performance from
him. The ending is awesome, may not
surprise others but I fell for it. Using my
Palm Springs Rating System give this
1966 gem Three and 1/2 Palm Trees.
