Fun and at times hilarious, Summer Rental is an 80's film to covet. Everything about it is great but the real scene stealer is Richard Crenna, who has a dining room scene bound to crack anyone up. John Candy is on familiar territory as the clownish patriarch of an all-American suburban family, but Mr. Candy is fun to watch under any circumstances.
