The First Conspiracy is a compilation of 4 7" singles that
were released in Europe earlier that year and constitutes
their first album. It was not received very well and it
was their next album Survival Sickness that would
really seal the deal and put them on the map.
Unfortunately a little over a year later they would
drop their female organist, a total misstep of doom.
Billy Preston would land up playing organ on the
next album produced by their second big misstep,
a guy named Rick Ruben. The result - a safe 10-
song album of all songs in the 4 minute range.
Sorry, not TINC I know. Even more surprising
to me is they used Rubin for a 2nd album, their
final Cross Of My Calling, more diverse and
interesting but still lacking the original edgy
flare of this first album. Still an awesome band
and hopefully Dennis will revisit the TINC
with a regrouping or reunion etc down the line.
