GRAND FUNK RAILROAD 1975! - REVISITING THE HORROR THAT IS "CAUGHT IN THE ACT"

GFR were lucky in the live album department.
Including "Live : The 1971 Tour" which was
released long after the band broke up, all
three albums are excellent from a band that
was better live than in the studio anyways.
The first one, Grand Funk Live Album
is a five-star classic and this album here
is certainly no slouch. Recorded on the
"Shinin' On" tour, this 2-lp set hits hard
from the get-go and stays that way all the
way through the encore, their cover of
Stones 'Gimme Shelter'. The songs from
American Band and Shinin' On are all well
performed and the production on this album
also is worth mentioning. It's about the most
ideal mix for a live album, clean n crisp
but not too crisp, ya dig? Lol,
2 reviews below, Rolling Stone really ripped
it but Billboard praised it...The Horror!!
The Horror!!
