JEFF BRIDGES IS CAUGHT UP IN A "WHITE SQUALL" WITH A BUNCH OF TEENAGE BOYS - THE HORROR

1996 film that's kind of been forgotten over time
which is a shame. Sure it's Hollywood formulaic
but it's a great flick, everything hits the mark
led by a lot of great acting performances and
off course Jeff Bridges always reliable, one of
the best American actors we have. Using my
Palm Springs Rating System, White Squall
gets Four Brightly Lit Palm Trees....The Horror!

White Squall Movie Review & Film Summary (1996) | Roger Ebert

"White Squall" is the sort of red-blooded young man's adventure movie that Jack London might have penned, although not quite in this way. Said to be based on fact, it's about a group of high school students who sign on aboard the brigantine ship Albatross in 1960 for their senior year at sea.

White Squall

Jeff Bridges is a great actor. Say it out loud. Let the words roll off your tongue. Doesn't sound right, does it? That's because most audiences know Bridges only as a handsome, nonthreatening leading man, happy to play second fiddle to an ape in King Kong or to Barbra Streisand in the upcoming Mirror Has Two Faces.

10 twisted Christmas movies

Christmas is good cheer, fresh-baked cookies, cozy nights by the fire and good will toward men. It's "Miracle on 34th Street," "A Christmas Carol" and "It's a Wonderful Life." It's also murder, mayhem, Santa Claus fighting Martians and monsters that should never be fed after midnight.

The Sheer Horror!!
