GEORGE HARRISON 1988! - CLOUD NINE ON THE ROCKLINE, YA DIG - JEFF LYNNE - HORRIFIC JAM!

George promotes Cloud Nine on Rockline, shows
up slightly buzzed on a couple beers, answers
questions and has Jeff Lynne with him, at one
point a roughly 12 minute jam breaks out...The Horror!!
On February 10, 1988, George Harrison appeared on the show. At the time he was promoting his latest Cloud Nine CD/LP release and also brought along Jeff Lynne with whom he co-produced it. Jeff also plays guitar, bass and keyboards on the album and provides backing vocals. Additionally, he co-wrote three of the songs with George.
At one point on the program George and Jeff got out acoustic guitars and played a medley of tunes while chatting with host Bob Coburn and a couple of listeners who called in. George can be heard in the performance giving a humorous response to a listener who says he likes the Cloud Nine album “quite a bit.”
In between the dialog, George gives us pieces of “Drive My Car” (The Beatles), “Here Comes The Sun” (The Beatles), “The Bells Of Rhymney” (Pete Seeger), “Mr. Tambourine Man” (Bob Dylan), “Take Me As I Am” (Bob Dylan), “That’s All Right” (Elvis Presley, Arthur Crudup), “Let It Be Me” (Everly Brothers), “Something” (The Beatles) and “Every Grain Of Sand” (Bob Dylan). While a bit out of tune and unrehearsed, both George and Jeff sound like they are having a good time with their visit - TheBeatlesRarity.com. 7daylink
