SUNDAY NIGHT RE-VISITATIONS! - 2001 : A Jagger Odyssey with "GODDESS IN THE DOORWAY" a totally solid collection of tunes, reviews were mixed except Rolling Stone which broke away from the rest and gave it 5 STARS?!....THE HORROR!!

Ole Mick Boy hit it out of the park with this one,
sure it's not the Stones and it's not supposed to
be. But it's 100% pure Mick and one thing for
certain, he'll never make something this good
on his own again. For the perfect "Goddess"
experience, combine this with a viewing
of the excellent documentary Being Mick.
Samples - "Lucky Day" and the title track
Amazon link to cd, vinyl and cassette
I could not find it at all on Amazon Digital
or I-tunes which I find totally f-ing bizarre...
The Horror!!

SUNDAY NIGHT RE-VISITATIONS! - ROGER DALTREY's Third Solo Album where he claimed to be "One Of The Boys," ya dig? Well this 1977 collection of tasteful tunes is one of those hidden gems of an album....THE HORROR!!

Another vinyl classic from the 70's, to me this Daltrey
album sounds like no other in his catalog, great tunes
and side 1 is a powerhouse run of 5 killer tunes.
Side 1 in it's entirety - Amazon link to cd and vinyl but cd
is out of print and fetches $100+ - Side 1 7daylink (from cd)
The Horror!!

SUNDAY NIGHT RE-VISITATIONS! - IGGY POP's "Avenue B" I don't think the world was ready for this album in 1999 and guess what? I don't think the world is ready for it in 2015 either, the one Iggy album that makes everyone go Tilt....THE HORROR!!

This is one of several really great albums Igg-ster made
in the 90's but were mostly dissed cause fans wanted
him to be the Stooge's Iggy. Shame, this guy has major
songwriting talent and this album shows it!
Samples - "Nazi Girlfriend" one of the slow songs
"Corruption" and "Espanol" 2 of the only 3
rockers on the album. Amazon link
The Horror!!

SUNDAY NIGHT RE-VISITATIONS! - 1975's Amazing "FISH OUT OF WATER" by Yes' bass player CHRIS SQUIRE, 42 Minutes and 31 Seconds of pure Prog Rock bliss, a classic in every way....THE HORROR!!

An amazing 1975 album that has held it's weight
over the years, still sounds brilliant and I believe
is approaching masterpiece status if not there already
Two sample songs streaming above are from the
vinyl rip pictured above on a very fancy rig
The Horror!!

very spooky around this next bend, look out for "THE GREY"! - Well La Dee Da it's another LIAM NEESON Action Thriller about a group of Alaskan oil refinery workers whose plane crashes in the territory of.....THE HORROR!!

another decent recommendation from one of the many
movie blogs here. Much better than "Non-Stop" but
I still find myself wondering how in the world
Liam Neeson became this huge A-lister...The Horror!!
Using my Palm Springs Rating System, I give this
thriller Three Palm Trees a little tipped from the wind
The Horror!!

$1 Thrift Store Find! - "BOEING, BOEING," 1965 Romantic Comedy with both TONY CURTIS and JERRY LEWIS starring along side each other jockeying for various stewardesses attention, The Horror I say, THE HORROR!!

Picked up this Vhs for a buck at the thrift store, yet
another one that used to be on TV a lot when we
were kids. For a buck, I'm very happy to have it in
the collection but not for much more, ya dig?
Too much posturing by two big stars out to protect
their egos and way too much time spent on interior
sets makes it come off like a half-assed play. Using
my Palm Springs Rating System ya dig, I give this
oldie but slight goody the exact Two Palm Trees
it deserves, no more, no less....The Horror!!
VINTAGE TRAILER
Jerry Lewis & Tony Curtis starring TOGETHER?!
The Horror!!

With LED ZEPPELIN You Know "The Vibes Are Real"! - 2 cd boot of the SAN FRANCISCO stop of 1973 US Tour is an excellent audience recording of a killer now legendary show in front of 50,000 Fans....THE HORROR!! (Link)

show. Check out his blog he's got lots of Zep and
Plant/Page related stuff as well as a lot of Kiss
boots, well we'll let him slide on that...The Horror!!
The Horror!!

Additional Notes - 5/2 - I already have this show but haven't listened to in quite a long time, listening now, sounds great and is definitely Zep 101!

JEFFERSON AIRPLANE 1972! - Revisiting the Horror that is "LONG JOHN SILVER" and notable not only as Airplane's last but the only album ever made that you can turn into a Stash Box!.....THE SHEER HORROR!!

Too bad the songs inside weren't as OG as the artwork
More like that shitty Mexican weed we used to pay
$10 a "lid" for in high school ya dig? But this one
does have sonic merit with at least 3 of the 9 songs
are solid and this album has a Jorma K song
(Trial By Fire) that is one of the best things
to come down the Jefferson pike in all that
period. Not bad for my very first stash box!
The Horror!!

the sheer horror of our next exhibit - DREAD ZEPPELIN "2 X 7" (Mix) a house mix with yep, you guessed it, 2 songs off 7 different albums- look, in the sky, is it Reggae, is it Zeppelin, is it Elvis.....THE HORROR!!
