Revisiting the FOURTH ROD STEWART Solo Album it's one of those affairs that's "NEVER A DULL MOMENT" ha ha the year is 1972 and Rod Has Gone From Gasoline Alley To Park Avenue! He's about to Cross Over Into The...

It was more of the same great stuff Volume 4 with this
album except I would say that the rockers on this one
were harder and edgier than the rockers on the
previous albums. Rod was on the brink of.....?
Like I said, the first 4 RS albums are all must-haves
if, that is, you consider yourself a serious classic
rock collector, ya dig what I'm sayin'?!
TRUE BLUE - Rod hits it out of the park with this
album opener. The car sound used near end is Elton
John's Rolls Royce, they taped it speeding out of a driveway
ITALIAN GIRLS - Some stellar guitar work here by Woody.
ANGEL - Rod covers Jimi Hendrix?! Forgettaboutit!!
The Horror!!

Revisiting the THIRD ROD STEWART Solo Album the year is 1971 and somewhere in Cleveland Ohio a DJ gets tired of playing "Reason To Believe" and flips the record over to the B side a little tune called Maggie May, and The Rest IS HISTORY!!

TOMORROW IS SUCH A LONG TIME
Stewart covers Dylan quite a few times on these early albums
almost always to great effect. It's these offbeat tracks that
really make these albums worth owning!
This show in Dayton Ohio is from about a week after Every
Picture came out. Ed and I bought it on Hollywood Blvd
in roughly '74, we've both posted it before but in case
you missed it enjoy!
The Horror!!

Wacky Characters!! it's "SID" from The Descendants, a Goofy Surfer Dude Who Gets On All Old People's Nerves But Really Is A Cool Guy Deep Down Inside, Think Of Him Like A Modern Version Of Jeff Spicoli and Tidy-ed Up A Bit, THE HORROR!!

Played by actor Nick Krause, surfer dude "Sid"
in The Descendants perfectly matches what I
had in mind for this segment. He's goofy, funny
and a little unpredictable. While he's annoying to
the elders but charming to his peers, he mystically
acts as the bridge to connect the two. We dig Sid!

"THIS IS SID"

"SID GETS HIT"

Revisiting The SECOND ROD STEWART Album "GASOLINE ALLEY" (1970) as we reiterate the previously made statement, the first 4 Rod Solo albums are all Must-Haves in any serious Rock Collection, Ya Dig Me?!

Right? Consider this Volume 2 of 4 incredible albums
back to back. It's impossible to pick a favorite
(and don't discount the first album!)
MY WAY OF GIVING - As you may know, members of
The Faces played on all four of these albums in various
degrees. Rod always cherry picked the best tunes for
his albums though, hmmm. This track is basically a Faces.
ONLY A HOBO - This Bob Dylan cover is so tasteful, just sweet bliss.
The Horror!!

only in Tommy's House of Horrors would you find a place called "PARIS, TEXAS"! 1984 Wim Wenders film is on every Top Ten Indie Films Of All Time list out there and for good reason, HARRY DEAN STANTON Is LOST, The Horror!!

An indie masterpiece, plain and simple.
But don't sit down to watch it unless you're
ready to go deep, ya dig what i'm sayin'?
